CHAI TEA RECIPE
Chai Tea originates from the 5,000 year old Indian Science of Ayurveda. The ingredients in Chai are used to promote healing and strengthen various parts of the body.
Serves 8-10

Ingredients:
4 sticks of Mexican ( Ceylon) cinnamon or (1 stick of the hard kind, actually Cassia bark.)
1/3 tsp cardamom pods, crushed
1/2 tsp nutmeg
3 whole cloves
3 inches of grated fresh ginger root
1 tsp or 2 tea bags jasmine tea
1/2 gallon of water
1 cup milk (soy, almond or rice milk can be substituted for dairy)
2-3 Tbsp honey or agave syrup

Place cloves in water and bring to a boil. Add everything but jasmine tea. Simmer for 1 hour. Turn off burner. Add jasmine tea bags and steep for 5 minutes. Strain pot of tea add milk and honey. If too spicy, cut down on ginger.
